Sunset Acres Fainters

We are pleased to announce the opening of  SUNSET ACRES FAINTERS!! 

Located in Odessa, MO just 35 minutes east of KCMO at 1896 Highway OO..

How we started:  We moved to Odessa, MO in Febuary 1999 with two teenagers who claimed we ruined thier lives!  Over time, the kids grew up (too fast) and moved out. 

My husband Bill and I loved living here and did not want to move.  What do we do with all this space??  I hated driving and being away from here.  So I quit my job in the city & talked Bill into turning the place into a Bed & Breakfast.  So, May 31st 2003 we had our first guests stay at our new Sunset Acres Bed & Breakfast!! 

We then decided to add more interest to the B & B by adding an assortment of animals.  We started with the usual then added: african geese; other water fowl & peacocks, then came the goats.  We had 3 goats, mostly pgymys then added a fainter.  In three years we went from 3 goats to 27.  Most are regular pgymys.  Too much for just a hobby now!! 

We then decided that if we were to have so many, we should specialize in breeding.  So we sold most of our off spring, kept a couple good fainters and added a few more extra specials.

We have now built up our herd to 18 breeders.  But there still are a couple regulars we had to keep because of thier pet status!
